Your donation will help Prithak Foundation educate children in the slums of Sanjay Colony, both academic and career skills through various specialized programs that they run successfully. Since 2015, they have helped 615+ number of kids thanks to support from donors like you.
About the cause
Sanjay Colony is one the biggest urban slums in New Delhi. A predominantly migrant community of nearly 60,000 people who have come from various states in search of employment since the 1970s and settled in this area. Prithak Foundation is the brainchild of a group of motivated youth from the same area, who wanted to give back to their community, and create opportunities for education and employment, for others like them from the locality.
Activities
Skills for Professions (S4P) : To provide a common hub for peer learning where students can read, write, learn, enjoy, discuss, share ideas, and help each other.
Language for Career (L4C) : L4C is a platform where we connect learners and experienced instructors for an exchange of language-based skills so that new learners get an opportunity to benefit from improved techniques for effective communication.
Remedial Support : The objective is to provide additional help to pupils with learning disabilities, who, due to a slower pace of learning or otherwise has fallen behind the rest of the class in the subjects of Math, English, and Science.
